OUR LEGENDRY

Our vision

Our stories
are who we are.

Our Legendry brings your family’s knowledge together with historical research and thoughtful writing to tell the story of the people who brought you here.

The lives they made. The places they left. The families they joined. A history to discover together, read with pleasure, and pass on.

A family’s music, heard again.
Family branches joining across generations.
Generations, seen together.

Why Our Legendry began

A historian
for your family.

Researching his own family, Marcelo LaFleur found a history spread across relatives, countries and generations. A photograph in one home, a remembered story in another, an ancestor’s name in an archive. Bringing them together revealed lives that no one relative could have told alone.

That is the work Our Legendry takes on with your family. We organize what you share, follow the questions it raises, research the people and places, and write their stories. Each discovery becomes part of a growing understanding of your family.

You bring what you know and what you wonder about. We help turn it into a history everyone can enjoy.

The founder’s vision

“It is a space where members of a family can share the pieces that they know, what they have, what they heard, what they discovered.

And our system helps organize it, collect it, confirm/correct it, contextualize it, and eventually give it back to the family as their own full story. That is their Legendry.”

The lives behind the names

There is more
to a family’s story.

Family memories give the history its voice. Research can reach further: into newspapers, letters, parish books, passenger lists and collections far from home.

We place those lives in the world around them—the work people did, the communities they belonged to, the events that shaped their times. Those details give the stories their depth.

The great-grandmother’s furrier advertisement in an 1893 newspaper.

A business of her own.

She altered and repaired furs in Montana. Her husband worked at a jeweler’s bench. With five children at home, there were two trades in the family.

A family crossing in stages.

Two brothers went ahead to Argentina. Their sister and youngest brother followed five years later. Their eldest brother stayed in Italy.

Music to hear again.

Grandpa Bernardino’s serious face was familiar. His waltz was new to the family. Now they can hear a little of the music that bears his name.

A history made together

One person remembers.
Another recognizes.

An uncle tells the story of his grandfather’s first shop. A cousin shares a photograph of the counter. A sister remembers the street name. Each brings something the others did not have.

In the app, relatives can share photographs, documents and memories in their own words, including by voice. They can read the stories, explore discoveries and add what they recognize.

From the familyA memory.
A photograph. A question.

Back to the familyA discovery.
A story. Something to share.

A discovery gives the family something new to talk about. That conversation can bring another part of the history into view.
